My Insights on Music

Okay, the 2000s weren't a really good decade for rock and music in general. We saw big uprisings of teen music stars and just in general, young adult pop stars that really take away the goodness in music. Epic bands like Blink 182, Stabbing Westward, Sunny Day Real Estate, and recently... Fall Out Boy, they all disbanded, and although some of them started to reemerge near the end of 2009, it was a little late after a decade dominated by T.I. and Taylor Swift... Those kinds of people.

So now, entering a new decade, there's a lot of potential for better chances in terms of the music industry. With big albums coming out like The Dreaming's "End In Tears", Four Year Strong's "Enemy of The World", and Angel & Airwave's "Love", there's plenty of room for some good rock and roll.

Blink-182 and Sunny Day Real Estate are back and better than ever, and although Cute Is What We Aim For broke up last year, their (Dave, Jeff, Mike) new band, Nocturnal Me, is definitely heading in the right direction (the direction I want it to go to)

Rufio, Panic! at the Disco, The Cab, Hey Monday, The Ataris (The Graveyard of the Atlantic), Motion City Soundtrack (My Dinosaur Life), Never Shout Never (What Is Love?)... They all have announced new records coming out this year, and the long awaited follow-up to My Chemical Romance's The Black Parade is set to come out this year. Sunny Day Real Estate and The Academy Is... have rumored new records. It's all coming down to new stuff...
So basically, there's a lot of big records going to be coming out from a lot of my favorite bands, and some new stuff from new ones (Nocturnal Me, We Are The Sky), so all in all, 2010 will be a big year in music... Unless Taylor Swift screws it up.
